Jesus Christ, are all these software programmers so hyped up with being “10x” programmers missing the point — we are one recession away from all those 10X programmers….just not having a job anymore.
AI has just about reached the point where it is “good enough” to replace most if not all junior programmers. Everything else — like where senior programmers will come from — is a lulz. Soon, it seems, software programming will be a low paying job except for the very highest levels.
In fact, I would say programming is probably the first segment of the economy to be hollowed out by AI in the near term. All this “vibe coding” heralds a new era where, lulz, plutocrats just won’t see any need in most programmers when they can get a temp to do it for them in an afternoon.
So…maybe learn proper English, all you coders who told me to “learn to code?”
