I’m really paranoid a hack is going to turn the original scene summary of the first act of the novel I’m writing into a movie screenplay. I’m trying to use that fear as motivation to write a new — much better — scene summary as quickly as possible. I feel I have a window of opportunity to get this thing done before a movie is produced that sucks the wind out of me and my efforts. But we’ll see. I have to believe in myself. I can’t freeze up and use this fear as an excuse to stop writing.
