I really like Issac Asimov’s Foundation series of books and the novel I’m writing is definitely a homage to it in a pretty obvious manner. This novel is also going to wallow in modern American politics to such an extent that it intends, at least, to be something of an allegory for the 2016 American presidential campaign.
At least, that’s my goal.
I’m pleased that I’ve finally kind of gotten the internal logic of the story down pat and now it’s matter of stretching things out in an entertaining manner. It will be interesting to see how successful I am in the first draft once I actually finish it. This has all turned out to be significantly more difficult than I ever fully imagined going into the process.
