Sometimes, It’s Actually Pleasant That No One Listens to Me

Absolutely no one listens to me or takes me seriously, at least at the moment. This is so much the case that it will be astonishing and surreal if this particular situation ever changes. If something happens, say, I sell a novel, and people actually listen to me and care about what I have to say…whoa buddy.

I’m just a reformed barfly.

My head will spin.

The only time anyone actually listened to me was in Seoul and Cool Stuff happened. Of course, there was a catch — people only listened to me because of the late Annie Shapiro.

That’s why we made such a great team — I had the vision and she had the “persuasive ability.”

But that was a long time ago. I now just drift through life working on a novel and ranting about this or that thing that gets me spun up…and no one, absolutely no one — other than a few stalkers who read this blog — gives a shit.

As such, there are no consequences if I rant about something that doesn’t fit the “media narrative” about this or that thing — at least for now. Should this particular situation change, however, it’s really going to take me a little bit to process it all.
