Herding Cats — I Call On The WHCA To Boycott The White House

I grew up wanting to be a journalist, and as such a I have a lot of respect for Jim Acosta and the rest of the White House Correspondence Association. the fact that Trump would abuse his power based on a bald face lie and revoke Acosta’s “hard pass” press credentials to the White House is enough to make my blood boil.

As such, it seems as thought desperate times call for drastic measures and as such the WHCA should boycott the White House en masse. They won’t do it, of course, but they should. They should take a principled stand on Acosta’s behalf and raise some hell. Go Howard Beal on them, if need be. They have a lot of individual power and if they acted collectively, it would be historic and powerful.

But I have very low exceptions.

And, besides, no one listens to me anyway.

Lisbeth Salander & Representation in Mass Pop Art

The book I’m using as my guide for my first serious attempt at a novel is The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. As such, I realize that I can probably risk having a bi-sexual character in the novel. But I would need to tread carefully. If I don’t do it right, it will simply come off as a sloppy hack concept by a horny middle-aged man.

But it definitely would facilitate the plot of the novel I’m working on to make two of the women lovers. But it would need to be done tastefully and more alluded to than anything else. There’s a limit to how far mass pop art can have a gay theme to it for no other reason than it will turn off about 48% of your readership. But I think I can pull it off. This concept is maturing as I work to develop it and I am slowly working towards developing my two main heterosexual romantic leads and it would be a nice little shortcut if the woman was bisexual.

Developing a first novel is extremely messy and I shouldn’t even talk about it in such a conspicuous manner given how in flux it all is, but given that I’m 100% extroverted it’s just my nature to talk — and write — about whatever is going on in my life and my entire life is consumed with this novel right now.

We’ll see. Wish me luck.

No Matter The Results Of The 2018 Midterms, Things Are About To Get Fucking Dark

It is pretty obvious to me that this weekend before the Nov. 6th midterm elections is the quiet before the storm. No matter what happens, the moment we know one way or another what the results are history is going to lurch out of neutral in a big way. Either the United States will become a full-fledged autocratic white ethno-state or we have at least a little bit of hope that something might change.

But I honestly don’t know what the results are going to be. At this point, I will just be happy to whittle the Republican majority in the House down to the RINOs. At least then it will be a least a little bit more difficult for them to implement their stated policy of raping America politically.

And, yet, I fear we’re all waiting for the other shoe to drop. Trump is so unhinged that he is bound to pull some insane stunt sometime between now and election day. Something so crazy that it changed the complete tone of the race and the Republicans win by a landslide. I guess I think that because I don’t think any of us fully appreciate the significance of flipping the House. If we managed to flip the House, things are going to get pretty bonkers pretty quick.

The Republicans have too much at stake for them to let The Resistance take power without a post-election battle of some sort. So, even if we flip the House, Trump will claim it’s all “Chinese hacking” and might challenge the result in court. He has a 5-4 lock in SCOTUS, so he’ll probably get away with it. That doesn’t even begin to address the very real possibility that the Russians will hack the election in the Republicans favor, making this entire discussion moot.

I honestly don’t know what to tell you. I guess all you can do is vote and hope for the best.
